How to buy a train ticket to the TT Circuit Assen

1. Buy Online via Dutch Railways (NS) Website or App:

• Visit the NS (Dutch Railways) website or download the NS app.
• Enter your departure station (e.g., Amsterdam, Utrecht, Groningen) and destination (Assen).
• Select the date and time of your journey.
• After choosing your train, purchase an e-ticket, which you can download to your phone or print at home.

2. Buy at the Train Station:

• At major train stations in the Netherlands, ticket vending machines are available: Choose English on the machine interface. Enter your destination (Assen), select the type of ticket (one-way or return) and pay by card.
• You can also visit a service desk to buy a ticket directly.

3. Use an OV-chipkaart:

Travelling from Amsterdam

Take a direct intercity train from Amsterdam Central Station to Zwolle, where you can transfer to a regional train bound for Assen.

Travelling from Utrecht

Board an intercity train from Utrecht Central Station to Zwolle, then switch to a connecting train to Assen.
Travel Time: Around 1.5–2 hours.

Travelling from Rotterdam

Catch a train from Rotterdam Central Station to Zwolle and transfer to a train heading to Assen.
Travel Time: Approximately 2.5–3 hours.

Travelling from Groningen

Take a direct train from Groningen Central Station to Assen.
Travel Time: Just 15–20 minutes.

Travelling from Eindhoven

Start from Eindhoven Central Station and travel to Utrecht, where you’ll transfer to an intercity train to Zwolle. From Zwolle, take a regional train to Assen.
Travel Time: Around 2.5–3 hours.

Getting from Assen NS Railway Station to the circuit

Once at Assen NS railway station, you can reach the TT Circuit, located about 6 km away, by:

• Bus: Line 1 runs regularly from the station to the circuit’s bus stop at Jack Middelburgplein Plaza on the venue's north side. The trip takes about 7 minutes.
• Shuttle Service: Special shuttles operate during race weekends, connecting the station to the circuit’s Noordlus entrance.
• Taxi: An easy and convenient option directly from the station to the circuit.
